adventurous funny tense

This turned into a quick read because I never had a dull moment or felt the pace drag. It’s got a digestible scope where we touch on issues of class, privilege and abortion but it doesn’t go to the extent of an afterschool special or award bait. Rachel was frustrating at times but also felt very real and believable. It wasn’t the deepest book on the shelf but I enjoyed every page.

wow!! i left this one feeling so moved and just happy that i finally read it. this definitely would have been a 5 star except for the fact that it kinda dragged in the beginning. i loved the last 25%! such great commentary on being in your 20s, class, reproductive rights, sexuality, friendship, and love. i want more books like this <3 i also loved that rachel and carey found their way back to each other in the end!!

There are parts in the middle where I felt fed up with reading the familiar problems of young adulthood, but somehow I was weeping at the end of this mostly-funny novel.
