My mom has asked me to read this book for a few years, so here we are. Yay me for being a good son!
Having said that, this book wasn't for me. I can see the allure, but it never really did anything for me. Certainly after reading Wurts and Simmons and their wonderful prose, this can be rough.
As far as characters go, most were okay for me. I did like Callie and Dizzy but that is about it. I found Darius to be a creep and definitely not in a charming way, though I can see how it was meant to be like that.
I don't mind that I have read this, but I don't see myself continuing on with this series

Franchement, ce premier tome est une bonne surprise. J'ai aimé l'histoire ainsi que Reagan, une héroïne badass et grande gueule. Action, humour et bien évidement sensualité sont au rendez-vous. J'aime bien son début d'histoire avec Darius même si ce n'est pas le sujet principal. La plume de K.F. Breene est entreprenante et pleine de charme.

I really enjoyed this. I think there was just enough plot to keep me guessing and entertained, but enough spicy tension to engage my adult brain. I'm excited to read the rest of the series and seriously so happy they are on kindle unlimited. I don't think I have read anything by K. F. Breene before, but this may reel me in as a fan!

Urban fantasy that isn't novel groundbreaking, but which is fun and action-packed. Typical hot vampire love interest, but I appreciate that the author joke-ey about it. One thing I enjoyed that I hope to see more of in future books is the main character's relationship with the equivalent of her godparents.
