The only thing I didn't really care for in this world was the vampire's super form, otherwise good book.

There are two things I liked best about this book. One was the one-liners they are funny are made me continue the book and the second was the narrator. She really does a great job with each character.

“Dude, don’t be that guy,”
“No one likes the creepy guy.”
“Who has two thumbs and brought a gun to a magic fight? This girl!”
“Don’t be silly. Vamps are just cuddly creatures that want to hug.”

I am not much of a magic girl. I like Mage but really that was only one series because it felt different.
I try so hard to get into books with Magic and it just doesn’t feel right to me. Bring on other PNR and I am good but something about Magic I just have a hard time with.

This book was ok. Kinda boring, a lot predictable.
I won’t be continuing the series. Also, it didn't feel like a Romance at all.

This one is a really good one with an interesting universe even if in this first book, we can only see a tiny piece of it. It had a Kate Daniels feels but overall I liked the plot and Reagan's secret. There isn't a "true" romance so yeah it was really entertaining and I read it in a day!

Très bon premier tome avec un univers intéressant mais l'auteur ne s'étend pas tellement dessus. Reagan ressemble énormément à Kate Daniels dans son comportement mais aussi dans sa manière (elle porte aussi une épée). J'ai bien aimé le petit secret de Reagan, un peu classique mais qui pimente un peu le bouquin. Il n'y avait pas de vraie romance, juste quelques petits indices qui peuvent indiquer une romance plus "profonde" dans le deuxième tome.
