+18ish Has the badass MC and magical creatures. Already a win for me. You can tell the author really put a lot of thought into the world and magical things in it. It was rather easy to guess the big secret of the MC but i enjoyed that it wasn't given up very soon in the story. I do think the ML was pretty bare bones. Really I would say only three characters out of all of the various we meet are fleshed out including the MC. Not a bad read though. At the time of this review I am on the second book.

Excellent. The only thing I questioned was the footsteps effect. It added nothing and was a little annoying. But the rest, the actors, the writing, the story and characters, were excellent.

Maybe I've been reading too many fantasy KU romance lately, but this one just didn't hook me. Couldn't connect to the main character, too much build up around her magic, the enemy was just confusing...

A good start to the series, im a little bored of the (snarky all powerful mega Heroine) always got an answer for things... Hard as nails.. doesnt give a crap.... I just read it all the time in Urban fantasy, I prefer my heroines a little more Humble.

But a good story start
