My little 4 year old thought this was such a fun book.
My mom read this to my siblings and I every year growing up and I can’t wait to read it to my own kids someday :’)
5/5
One of my favourite Christmas movies and after watching it last night, I had to read it!
The illustrations are beautiful too!

Kris gave this to me in 1997, and the movie has only made it more endearing. Sean is obsessed with it now, spending much of playtime in a robe...I wish they had given the character a name though. He refuses to be called Sean while in character and "boy from Polar Express" is a bit long...
This will always be one of my all time favorite children's books. Not only is the story itself simply amazing but the art within the book is also breathtaking. I am 19 years old and every Christmas I still enjoy curling up with a nice cup of hot chocolate, and reading this book; then continuing on to watch the movie. This book truly represents the Christmas spirit, and I can't wait to share it with my own children.

I didn't think I would like this- and when I saw how much text there was, I thought that even more. But for a child with the right-length attention span, this is really quite lovely. Very understated, in a The Snowman
As someone who has read all of two picture books, I can say I liked The Polar Express, and wish I'd had more books like these with I was a wee lad.
