Re-read 2020! My absolute favorite Christmas story/picture book! It isn't Christmas without the Polar Express!

I am probably the only person on the planet with a child that has never read this or seen the movie, but hey! I did it! I bought this as a gift for my 4 year old daughter and we read it last night. It was a very cute Christmas story about the magic of believing in Santa. The pictures in the book were nice works of art, but not overly engaging for children I thought.

A classic, magical story that will never get old

A favorite to read to the kids.

The Polar Express was OK, but it didn't grab me as much as it seems to have others, possibly because it wasn't one of the Christmas books of my childhood. I liked the artwork much more than the story. The story had all of the elements of a pretty good heartwarming tale of Christmas, but greatly simplified for children. Each time I have read it, it has been for children. Today it was for our Primary Christmas party. I quite enjoyed sitting in a big chair with children gathered all around sitting on the floor in front of me, and reading to them!

I recommend it to anyone who has small children who will sit still long enough for a story...I think they'll love it.
