This volume makes me so bleepin angry. I originally bought it with volume 2 after reading the first one and enjoying it. This volume has two - TWO - issues, plus an annual and a Wolverine comic. Wtf. Not only are there only 2 issues in it, they're not even good, and the artist randomly changes midway through the first one and is terrible. The annual is bad and I didn't even read the Wolverine one bc I was so mad that I had spent $16 on this nonsense. Done with this series.

They should make a comic from the perspective of evil Matt Murdock instead of spider Gwen. Much more compelling character.

"Spider-Gwen: Long Distance" is a disorganized confusing mess of a book that does little to advance the overall Gwen Stacy / Spider-Gwen of earth 65 story.

This book actually only contains two issues of the original Spider-Gwen title. These issues actually do very little for the overall story arc other than to provide a clumsy escape from Gwen's previous dependency on 'Power Ups' to use her spider powers.

The rest of the book is comprised of semi (un)related issues from other titles. Although these stories do involve Spider-Gwen, they do not add anything to the overall story arc and most of them are are not very well done or even interesting. The only exception to this is the last story which focuses on The New Wolverine and contains a fast paced and humorous body swapping story that is actually worth reading.

One final note, if you do read this book you will probably want to read "Spider-Man/Spider-Gwen: Sitting in a Tree" next, since it contains several "Spider-Gwen" issues that directly proceed the official fourth volume "Spider-Gwen: Predator".

The series is approaching the Miles/Gwen crossover stuff, so this only has two issues, and two annuals (All New Wolverine and Spider-Gwen). 6 issues is standard, but the next few issues are apart of the crossover trade paperback and it throws us outta whack. Anyway...

The story is moving to an interesting place, so I'm still keen. But two issues instalments aren't the greatest for narrative momentum. Tom Taylor's All New Wolverine Annual makes me want to read more of his Wolverine-y stuff. I have to admit I can't remember what was in the Spider-Gwen Annual. Whoops.

This is an uneven graphic novel. It is two issues of Spider-Gwen along with an annual and a Wolverine annual. It is okay over all but a strange collection.

So far, I've been finding the Spider-Gwen run a little lacklustre. This particular volume was more enjoyable in that it had more Murdock again (the shining point of the whole run so far), and a really enjoyable Cap side-story (oof, feelings). I want to love Gwen more but the emotional heart, character connections, and interesting stakes are lacking.

Spider-Gwen Vol. 3

This volume starts off with Thanksgiving & Chief Stacy is in jail. Gwen get Matt Murdock aka Daredevil to represent him in court.

In the mean time it's dinner at May Parker's house & a visit from Jessica Drew.
