yea this is the best trilogy for me, nothing could top these books!!

1. the romantic tropes ughhh: ezra and kady - exes to alliance to lovers, hanna and nik - semi enemies to lovers (she’s the daughter of the commander i think and he’s a convicted felon), asha and rhys - enemies AND exes to lovers (i just realized it’s the combination of the two other couples’ trope)

2. the new found family trope for the illuminae group - ella, katya, and the couples, the adults that believed in them

WOW. Amazing conclusion to one of the most creative series I've read. The non-traditional format might be distracting to some, and can be difficult, but once the story grabs you (which is does immediately) you'll be completely immersed. It was sad to say goodbye to such great characters, but it was totally satisfying.

To me, everyone who picks up this series should both read the print copies, and listen to the book on audio. Hands down, this series has been my favorite to listen to on audio. Incredible production, amazing cast, just WOW.

I also just have to say that
SpoilerI'm so happy that Obsidio ended with AIDAN's 'resurrection' because he is 100% my favorite AI and to me one of the most compelling components of these books. I admit I shed tears every time he 'died,' so I was ecstatic he was able to continue on.

Obsidio was such a great finale. So glad this series stayed strong and didn't fizzle out.

3,25 my interest had already declined with book 2. Just not emotionally involved with the characters enough.

It's official: The Illuminae Files are my favorite books I've ever read. I don't think anyone or anything is going to top this spectacular series and the fantastic send-off that was Obsidio. I love this series with my whole heart and, while I'm sad that it's over, I'm glad that it happened.
