It took me a while to get into this book. The parts I ended up enjoying the most were the flashback scenes and learning more about the main characters past. I didn’t really care much for the bank robbery plot going on in the current day. Towards the end there were also a few different parts where I thought it was ending and was confused that I still had more left. This book could have been at least 30 pages shorter. The last few chapters seem to be setting up the plot for the next book, but I think it went too far. There was some set up and then it could have ended but went on for another 2 chapters. I think the final 2-3 chapters could have been saved for the second book. I dont care to read the second one, even after the set up at the end of this one. This book going on for too long feels like it robs this one of an ending for the sake of set up.

This sucked me in and didn’t let me go once. Good lord I loved this. Nora is a tour du force of a protagonist, and I adored Iris, Wes, and Lee, and absolutely hated Abby and The Caps and Raymond, as intended. Fuck. Tess Sharpe is just so good. This one’s gonna stick with me.
