Basically just a more or less manga version of the show. The art style looks really good on some pages and on others it is very weird, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
However, I can't stop comparing it to the show and now I want to watch it again... xD

Thank you to Edelweiss and Seven Stories Press for the ARC!
A Scandal in Belgravia is a fun and fast-paced read, with all of the complexities of a Sherlock mystery.
The graphic novel is a shot-for-shot artistic depiction of the television episode on which it is based on. The art in the graphic novel is great, and really captures the feel of the episode. However, if you have seen the episode already, it is pretty much the same story and shots.
In the end, I would definitely recommend this book/series to people who have not seen the television show.

This is the first half of an manga nearly shot for shot adaptation of the best episode of the TV show Sherlock. I felt about this the same way I might about seeing a tribute band play instead of the real thing. While this is obviously a faithful adaption the life feels drained out of the story and as much bandwidth is devoted to how books can't properly be made into movies this book does a fine job showing how the reverse is also true.
