This novella has a very wonderful writing, flowing without being excessive, with lush worldbuilding and characters that seems so alive. Considering I sought this book out because I fell in love with the story of Agent Fatma and the angel, I am glad to have loved this one as well. This is, honestly, what novella should be like: contained but full of characters and interesting aspects that leaves you wanting more.

Não tem nada nesse livro que eu não goste. A história se passa em um Cairo mágico, onde a descoberta de espíritos e djinns possibilitou a expulsão dos ingleses do Egito e a modernização do país. O ano é 1912 e a cidade é um marco mundial de modernidade, e borbulha com protestos femininos que pedem o voto!

É nesse contexto de conhecemos os agentes Hamed e Onsi, detetives de um ministério que lida com casos sobrenaturais. Os dois devem decifrar e resolver uma assombração que assola um bonde da cidade.

Sensacional fantasia urbana que nos tira do lugar comum europeu/americano.

This feels like part of a story to me rather than a full story that's just short, but it was a nice enough way to pass the time.

a very fun fantastical story packed into less than 150 pgs! i liked the setting, world building and characters more than i thought.
