A fun and bubbly tale, predictable but graced with likeable characters and funny dialogue. It was a good read for a relaxed weekend, and for Anglophile readers who don't mind a formulaic but well-written romance.
About 100 pages too long but better than I expected going in
Fluffy, Kate Middleton fanfiction. I'm not typically a fan of such overt fanfiction but this was so good. The dialogue was hilarious, the story line predictable, but enjoyable to read.
Edited 10/30/15 It's going to be a movie! With Mae Whitman and Lauren Graham adapting it! I have a good feeling about this one.. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/royal-we-lauren-graham-mae-832286

had absolutely no expectations when i started it but MERLIN this book definitely impressed
It's been a long time since I stayed up until 7 AM finishing a book in one sitting, but this one would not stop calling me. When I first heard of this book, I thought the premise sounded so fun and light-hearted. It is really fun but it's also so much more than that.
The characters 100% feel like real people and the situation Bex finds herself in is far from a fairy tale. I loved that the story took place over 8 years. It felt like it unfolded like a true relationship: with all the romantic parts and the really devastating parts that make would make one up in that amount of time--especially one with such a unique, complicated aspect thrown it.
The Royal We is totally engrossing and definitely one of my favorite reads of the year. I think this will be one I will be rereading and I can't recommend it enough.

It was all I hoped for. Cheesy, romantic, fun and light!
3.5
This felt really long…but I think that’s my own fault where I accidentally started book 2 first so it’s been a long time to finish ha!
I was entertained and liked the characters!

From the start i was emotional invested. Rebecca Porter (Bex) is an American that goes to Great Britain to study abroad. She wanted to branch out a little, being that she is a twin i could see she wanted to step out and do her own thing.
Like any book about the Royals you know that a 'commoner' cant just walk off the street and be like oh hey your the Prince. While living at Oxford she is met face to face with the prince, Nick, who actually lives just down the hall. From there on its a match mad in heaven. Well....... there are a few bumps in the road.
Once again i am a sucker for any story about a prince falling in love with a commoner. Like i said before i was very emotional wrapped up in this book. I felt every emotion on the page jump off and hit me square in the face. I laughed I cried I even slacked off on housework but i regret nothing!
What i found lacking is there were five parts to this book. I hate that once something happened part two, three, four, or even five started. There was so much potential lost in the story that could have been told. The ending was the same way. 485 pages, I mean don't stop while your ahead, keep going. So much more potential was lost because it seemed they rushed to end the story. We (as the reader) didn't even get to learn about the wedding. Can anyone say shotgun.

The book begins with the ending, where Bex is set to wed Prince Nicholas, but there is trouble brewing and the wedding is at risk. The story then takes us on the journey of their meetcute, 8 years of relationship, and takes us back to the beginning to finish the story. Any fan of Windsor Royals will love this book. Nick and Bex were inspired by Will and Kate, and spare heir Freddie has Harry dripping off the pages. The author gives us all the emotions and struggles of trying to have a meaningful relationship while under such severe scrutiny. This is no surface level romance. It reads like an expose of royal life, but with the heart of a HEA. Did it really need to be as long as it is? Probably not. None of it felt like minutiae. It all read as meaningful to the story. But there was a lot of story. It took me the entire month of October to read this book, and that never happens. Book 2 will definitely be an audio just so the pacing is more structured for me, as a reader. Still, at the end of the day, the depths of emotions I felt for these characters, I give it a 5-star rating.
Despite all the reasons I should not have liked this book, it's the perfect fix for something light to read. It's the kind of book that pulls you in as a complete guilty pleasure. I quickly found myself invested in the characters, and even though it's essentially a gossipy fanfic, it provides a surprisingly in depth and moving look into what it is like to be trapped in the maelstrom that is the media. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
