Boring. I did read the last section, just so I could know how it ended. If the book had been more like the last section, I might have read it all.

I was having trouble with the pace of the book. And it was just kinda uneventful and hard to keep my interest.

Good book! Lovely story of friends + family + love and the bonds shared in each. If you love reading about royalty, you will like this. It shares the good, the bad, and the ugly. Lots of good details - you get to know the characters really well!
One note: this book is REALLY long. I listened to the audio book and it was almost 18 hours long. It’s a good book, but you’ve got to really commit!

This could have been my new favorite

Disclaimer: I did not finish this and only got to page 145 before stopping.

Noting the above disclaimer, my review of this is kind of split up. I LOVED part one of the book where it's all about Bex and Nick getting to know each other. It read as a typical chick-lit/rom com/quirky girl falls for royal guy type of thing and I just eat that up. I even quoted the book a couple times on my Twitter because there were a few one-liners that I really enjoyed but, it was after that section that it started to go into snooze land for me. The next section just started going in circles for me and I would put the book down for a week or so and pick it up expecting to be somewhere else but it just...wasn't.

I lost interest in the characters, what they were doing, their friends, etc. Plus, I started getting really annoyed with Bex's sister and Nick (not 100% sure why, they weren't that terrible). I just kept getting the feeling that this was something I had already read a hundred times and was waiting for the fresh new piece of the story. And don't get me wrong, I LOVE royalty romance stories (Nichole Chase's series is phenomenal) but this one was just lacking.

I gave it two stars because while I didn't enjoy the part of the book that I had currently been reading, I did really love the first half and wished that could have been its own book. Flipping through the rest I just dreaded the idea of having to read anymore of this tome, so I gave up (hides face in shame). I have still been meaning to try out these ladies' young adult series so we'll see how that one goes, but as for right now I probably won't be revisiting this at all.

March 2020 update: I tried once again to get through this but it was so BLAH. Nick and Bex’s relationship doesn’t feel solid and real. Still don’t care about the characters. I won’t be revisiting this one again.

Yeah, total fan fiction. Don't even care. This totally fed my royals obsession!
