It was enjoyable to go back to Beechwood for another summer, but the book was just fine. I felt like the twist was forced. It was easy to know what was going on or going to happen but then I have to remind myself this is a book for teens, not adults. In We Were Liars the twist came naturally woven into the story and this was just felt staged instead of seemless. Overall though I enjoyed reading it.

I absolutely loved We Were Liars. This one was okay. The story expands to the past on how much more messed up this very rich family is. They get away with some stuff and it points to why the liars were the way they were. It was okay.
