I recommend this book to any Christian, single, married, or dating, and to anyone who had questions about the significance of marriage and about how to maintain a successful one.

Thanks to the women in my life group who voted on studying this book. Despite my reservations for 'yet another book on relationships,' I have gleaned much more from Timothy Keller than I bargained for, in regards to my marriage, but most importantly, in regards to my relationship with Christ.

Definitely a book I would love to read and discuss with a group of young adult singles or about to be married couples or even already married couples. There is so much good wisdom in this book for anyone who is contemplating whether marriage if for them. Also great stuff here to be working on in an existing marriage. Spoiler alert: Marriage does not work as intended if you think it is all about you, your needs, and your desires!

"The rest of the world sees us wrinkling up, but using marriage's powers in the grace of Jesus, we see each other becoming more and more spiritually gorgeous. We are clothing, washing, adorning each other....What we should say to each other on our wedding day is, 'As great as you look today, someday you will stand with me before God in such beauty that it will make these clothes look like rags'".

Biblical, beautiful, practical, and encouraging. I recommend :)

This is certainly one of the best-written and theologically sound books I have ever read. I learned so much about marriage before I married. I highly recommend engaged couples reading this together and discussing the topics raised.
