Quick read. I read this book on vacation while we drove. It captured my attention pretty quickly because the main characters make one bad decision after another, and although they didn’t strike me as likable, it was a bit like a train wreck you couldn’t look away from. The ending seemed a bit like a cop out, but was an interesting read none the less.
I listened to the audio book. The voice of the little boy was not only unbelievable, but annoying. The ending was left open, which I do NOT like unless there will be a second one. Many things did not seem to be needed, nor were they red herrings to lead you off track. It was fine.
I almost DNF this book because all of the characters are all horrible people making bad decisions. I ended up finishing it. I wanted to like it more than I did, but between the despicable characters, nonstop atrocious decision-making, and sympathizing for a pedophole, it was just very frustrating.
Don’t read this book. It’s full of horrible people, unlikely events, and a rushed ending.
This is well done. That being said it's basically a bunch of bad things and horrible decisions happen to a bunch of garbage people.

It was a pretty good book. I really didn't like Liz's husband at all, but the story was quite dramatic the whole way through and the suspense was good. Little disappointed with ending but at the same time I enjoyed it

Page turner!
This is probably my favorite Olsen book so far. I have read a few. This one had me wondering all the way to the end! Well done!

Very good book!!!! The ending was SHOCKING!!!! Made up for the slow middle chunk of the book, almost gave it up in the midst of “we need to tell the cops” “no we can’t” drama between Owen and Liz. Glad I toughed it out!
