Definitely a Catherine Chidgey fan. I don't know how she does it - making the magpie the narrator and yet you fall in love with him and Marnie and their story. The themes are so real and it's funny and sad and relatable all at the same time .

This book was a slow burn, but suddenly everything happens all at once. Tama is so cheeky and witty and such a great narrator. Who knew a book told by a magpie could be so good?!
