classic work of literature but much preferred the beginning the middle civil war bits are complicated and confusing but rly liked the ending

4.5 realmente (no le doy las 5 porque en varios momentos lo sentí algo denso).

Es algo difícil tratar de hacerle una reseña, así que solamente diré que me fascino, me sentía intimidaba por la mala fama que tiene por la repetición nombres como José Arcadios, Aurelianos, Remedios etc. pero como iba leyendo los estaba ubicando además que son diferentes generaciones.
Disfrute mucho, el final me pareció perfecto y adecuado.
Mi personaje favorito sin duda Úrsula que gran personaje.

Sin duda seguiré leyendo a Gabo.

I'm not a fan of the writing style of this book. While the theme may be strong, many irritating style features, like the constant use of all of a persons names (somewhat explainable by the repetition of names given to multiple characters.)

Sneakily a collection of 400 beautifully written short stories. The book sets out at an unrelenting sprint of a pace; characters are born, live a full life, and die in the span of a few pages. There are no cliches in the writing here, the descriptions are all lucid and fresh.

A strange, unique, fever dream of a book, but fun and wonderful.
