This was sweet but forgettable. I loved Carmen, the main character.

The narration by Eilidh Beaton was spectacular.

Een heerlijk boek, waar ik echt een film voor me zag (ik zou hem eerlijk gezegd ook leuk vinden als film denk ik ;) ), om lekker in de kerststemming mee te komen.

Lovely, lovely story! I like the love ...triangle? of sorts? And I love the kids, though I would have been Pippa, sigh ;) The last page is the very best - now you have to read!

Super leuk boek! Leuke verhaal lijn en fijn om te lezen.

A loved the strengthened bond between the sisters.

Cheesy and easy to read.

What made it memorable:
Loved the Edinburgh setting at Christmastime. Carmen is insufferable at first, but her storyline improves when she finds her passion and helps bring the failing bookstore back to life.

I like the story in general. But it would be nice not to picture S as an asshole. The relationships among women can be more complex, not just good vs bad.
