I started this book because I was feeling gloomy and needed a cheesy read to cheer me up, which this book immediately succeeded in because of its cozy atmosphere; nothing speaks to me more than a dusty bookstore balancing on the fine line of fascinating and actually gross!
Somehow, I still ended up getting surprised by the plot! The way Blair changed Carmen's life was unexpected to me (maybe it was obvious and it's just because I'm dense, in which case I am very happy to be so dense).
I think what I love most about this book is that it isn't just about finding romantic love, but all kinds of love and seeing the importance of it.

Sometimes Jenny Colgan is just the answer. I loved this book with great characters in a great city, wish I hadn't finished it so soon.

Heel tof boek. Moest eerste hoofdstuk even wennen aan de derde persoonsvorm maar eens zover genoot ik enorm. Gezellig verwarmend en cozy verhaal :)
Wilde graag een kerst boek lezen, maar kwam hier heel moeizaam doorheen. Aan het einde werd het wel wat beter, maar zou de volgende keer iets anders kiezen
