Cute, fun holiday story! Made me chuckle, smile, and call my sister!

This was such an adorable read, filled with Christmas vibes and really made me feel nostalgic for Christmas’s back home in Scotland.

Hallmark Christmas story. Pretty boring, but I enjoyed the ending.

How is a best seller so bad?! It got São Paulo misspelled!

Everyone does the best they can with what they have, and sometimes it takes an outside perspective to help us grow. Carmen is such a relatable character: stubborn, unsure, and trying to figure things out like the rest of us. This story reminds us that a change in environment and the people around us can help us grow, appreciate our past, and feel hopeful about what’s ahead.

The Christmas vibe was here, and old grumpy man who needs to save is old bookshop, Ireland. Everything was here to make it a great book.

Yet the main character, Carmen, is sooo UNLIKEABLE. For the first few pages I forced myself thinking "well it's a christmas story, her improving must be part of the plot". But she barely does so it was annoying.

I think the sub plot around Mr McCready backstory was a nice touch, but clearly his story was far more intersting and heartwarming that Carmen's.
