This book was a fantastic finale to a series I have loved reading, I feel ultimately happy that this series has ended on a happy note although I hope to read some spin offs of the other characters I've fallen in love with.

The main character is Mia and in this book we finally meet her mother although the situation is not the happiest situation. The happiness in this book comes from Mia and her love she shares for the other characters and her family. Mia has changed so much from the first book I feel as though in this book she finally makes it and is adulting properly and successfully.

The secondary characters are the same as in previous books.

The storyline has a fantastic finale finishing up the story wonderfully and filling in all the gaps in the story. The pacing was fantastic and I can honestly say this is a series I've loved reading and I am very glad it ended on a high although a spin off would be appreciated.

December is my favorite in this series and one my favorite series finale books from 2015. Reading it made me feel sentimental about the holidays ( something I lacked this year) and ushered forth some pent up tears and heavy sighs.

What happened? Well, something about Wes finally broke through in this one. Suddenly I saw what Mia (and most of the other CG series readers) must have been seeing and experiencing. I don’t think I felt his relaxed and playful side since the initial meeting in January. Things just got complicated and messy between them so maybe now that he feels that he’s really got his girl, his swagger and sexiness didn’t feel staged. (Forgive me, I may overuse theatrical terms in this review - but he’s a filmmaker and it feels right). Anyway, he felt soooo genuine. Wes bulldozed over and through my slightly indifferent heart and said…”seeeeee, this is what I am made of!”

As for the storyline, I anticipated Mia's reckoning. It was obvious she was going to come full circle and get some of the closure she needed. As it was, the Saunders girls’ ‘rents owed them that much. So, on the maternal side they got a plausible but not entirely forgivable explanation, and then withdrawal leading to disappointment on the paternal side. But with the new and expanded support system, the blows aren’t too hard and they all make it through. What I loved is that it wasn't all kitten and rainbows. They felt like real outcomes, the type that balanced them, in particularly Mia, with the upward spiral she’s been on and that 180 degrees change in lifestyle she’s experienced.

And then the Epilogue…well deserving of a *squeeeeeee*. I didn’t expect it when it hit ( Yes, I was watching the % to completion marker) and it was JUST WOW! Simply stunning ! Where Christmas made me sentimental and the wedding was lovely and beautiful (short and sweet), the epilogue brought on the best happy feels & tears. I felt that lightheaded and the *swooon* trance come over me. December is a 5 star read with my recommendation.

*I was a gifted a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review

Oh.My.God
Yes.
This is the ending to all books and I loved it!

The struggles and truths that have happened all through this series are all incorporated and ended and explained in this last book.
I truly loved this series and applaud Audrey for her writing and for this series.

I will definitely need these on PB to add to my collection because I loved them so much.
Give this series a go!
I hope you will love it as much as I have

Holy shit what a series.. Lots has changed since January and I'm happy to say that i really liked those changes. Mia grew up, learned so many important lessons and turned out to be a full on grown up woman ready to settle for marriage, if you wanna call it settle.
I got a little bit annoyed with the amount of sexscenes in this series, but later figured it was all for the greater good and it kinda made me enjoy Wes and Mia more.

Calendar girl. Volumes 1-4 by Carlan_ Audrey
12 month books by the same author
Calendar girl: Mia wants to get in, make her money and get out problem is she has to keep her heart out of it.
She rides a bike and will explore the escort service after being a waitress on the Vegas strip. Her aunt will help her as it's her brother that is hospitalized from not paying back the loan sharks.
Her job for the next month is with Wes, in CA and she has her own room and wardrobe and lots of events they will attend. She just has to keep her heart to herself...she takes on other jobs to make more money...
Like very descriptive details of dress, jewelry and places they go-ultra rich. Erotic steamy sex scenes and some vulgar language that goes along with the story line.
Each volume containing 3 books of months of the year is included. Sex is all the same just with different men.
Baseball player, artist, swimsuit designer, locations: Boston, Seattle, CA, Hawaii, NY and all its locations.
Fire night dancing sounds so cool! Meaningful part of this for me was 'Family'. Really liked 'where are they now'
I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device).

This is my review for the series as a whole and not just this particular book.

I picked up the Calendar Girl series by Audrey Carlan earlier this year on a whim. The concept of a woman being an escort for year and working with a new client every month was intriguing. And honestly, I think the series worked best when it stuck to that format. Reading about Mia traveling from one place to the next meeting new people whether they became lovers or good friends was interesting. Mia was this authentic character who was thrust into the most ridiculous and over the top situations and seeing how that all worked out was fun to read.

While I assumed from the first book that Mia would end up with Wes, I am not a fan of how that story worked out per say. Yes, I love that they end up together; the happy ending is what every romantic wants. What I did not like was the whole plot line of Wes being captured, tortured, having PTSD, and all of the fall of from that. The last four books of the series revolved around that story and how Mia and Wes cope. That's fine and all, but I would have preferred if that happened after Mia's year of being an escort. I know the idea was to have the characters evolve from where they started in January, but it made for a more boring story. I mean, by December I was so over reading about how happy and completely in love Mia and Wes were. I understand that it's being shown how much the two of them have grown and changed together, but that perfect happy ending felt rushed and forced to me. Again, I wish the year would have stuck to Mia being an escort and having adventures all over the country and then once that year was up she could have gotten together with Wes.

One thing I did appreciate about the series is that when Mia finally meets her Mom again, she doesn't automatically forgive her. When everything else in the series was coming up hugs and puppies I was a little worried that Mia would forgive her mother because her siblings want to and they'd be one big happy family. The fact that Mia remains angry and tells her Mom right now it's not going to happen made that experience feel more authentic and true to who Mia is as a character.

Overall I think it's an ok series. I would reread the first 6-7 months, but after that I'm good.
