Cute little YA-esque read. Timeline was a little hard for follow at times, and some transitions could have been smoother. Overall, a fun summer read.

I really liked the first 70% of the book but it it tumbled a little at the latter parts of the story. As much as I love a happy ending this book is a little too perfectly wrapped up? but overall a really fun and easy read! I found the characters to be likable and the romance was very sweet! I'd recommend this book
Idk I just stopped caring. It felt like 5 books pushed into one, no succinct timeline and the main characters didn't have any chemistry.
This felt so authentic and rich in culture. I smiled when I knew some of the restaurant tricks having worked in a Chinese restaurant in the past and the descriptions for the food preparation drew me in so much. The narration was really well done, and the characters were fun if a little archtypal. I wish I could have read something like this growing up in high school, but reading it know, I know it's doing something to help heal a little part of my inner child.
