3.81 AVERAGE

3.75. loved those two together

Very average book with tropes I may be getting burnt out on: stepbrothers, rich kids, Daddy issues, family drama.

Probably an enjoyable book for other people, but I was not particularly moved.

Rimming, vers, flip-fucking, marking with come, name branding (henna and eventual tattoos).

"The Step Bet" by Riley Hart and Devon McCormack is a 5 star read for me. I was not expecting anything less from Riley, so I've started this with a lot of confidence, and it did not disappoint!! Compelling and emotionally charged from the start, "The Step Bet" is the story of Atlas and Troy, their family dynamics, and forbidden love. Set against the backdrop of two stepbrothers navigating their evolving relationship, this story captivated me from the very first page. The chemistry between Atlas and Troy is palpable from the beginning. Even though they knew each other years before their first "forbidden interaction," their chemistry is electric as they navigate the connection. From stolen glances to hot, hot moments of intimacy, every interaction between them is imbued with raw emotion and undeniable passion. THANK YOU, RILEY & DEVON, for a great story!!!

My Titan

Let me tell you when you start this addictive book to be prepared for the three S’s: sexy, scintillating, and sinfully good!! I need to visit Peach State immediately as my heart is in danger after finishing and only Atlas and Troy can revive me.

“I want you…,” I confess as I kiss down to his neck. “I want every f*cking part of you.”

Gah, the swoons, the spice, and the sweet (also three S’s) are on fire with these two, and I didn’t want it to end. The way Troy and Atlas antagonize is hot, the way they see each other is real, and the way they love is forever. And woe to anyone who thinks otherwise, he that matters naught. I am enamored, with every single word, every single emotion, and every single bet. I absolutely adore our introduction to this fantastic series and cannot wait to see what happens next. Bet you to say different.

This is book 1 of 2 in the Peach State Stepbros U Series. This book was a bit of a slow burn for me in the beginning until the bet is made and I am so glad I continued to read the book. The banter and chemistry between the two MMCs was fun to read and how they deeply cared for each other was
