Blah blah blah another contrary opinion for me, and I probably shouldn’t care or carry on about it in every review. I read this bc someone called it their comfort series and I feel that. Also, I love that there seems to be canonically ace main character.

World-building was *chefs kiss* idk how i feel abt some of the topics that are talked about though, one character (Archibald) was honestly so trashy and i absolutely hated how he boasted his advancements made on married women, that part was definitely weird. and the main guy. bruh. straight up bossy towards the girl and not even like a “endearing grumpy” way like he was rude to her while it was all his plan to use and take her powers. honestly if it wasn’t for the weird content and the badly written characters i would’ve liked it better. Idk if ill continue, the story is good.


OH AND ALSO DO NOT GET ME STARTED ON THE INCEST BRUH LIKE WHY IS THAT NORMAL IN THIS WORLD WYIFNFJDNF????

i didnt rly like it. the characters werent my fav & i couldnt connect w them or the world they were in. i trued so hard too & im so upset ab the dnf, but it’s okay😔

Listening to this audiobook has been amazing. The world is slowly built and we discover with Ophelia what is going on. There is no instant romance or info dumping. The pacing sprinkled with detail is just very easy to get lost in. 

The cover art is just spectacular!!!
