DID NOT FINISH: 36%

This started off interesting enough, with an unusual protagonist in a mysterious broken world, who faces an arranged marriage that neither she nor her fiancé find at all appealing. And then it gets ... mostly just boring, and what happens does not make much narrative sense. I gradually lost interest in the protagonist and all of the other characters (most of whom are sketchy and unsympathetic).

It's fine YA. Dont think it's as bad as some of the top reviews make it out to be.

Excellent world building and interesting characters, i’m curious to see where the next book will go

This felt like a long introduction to another book. The first of a series shouldn’t feel like agonizing set up for the plot to begin part 2.
