Really a delight! It fills out the details for some high level things we knew about Jester's backstory, but really the strength in this is the emotiveness and richness of the art.

Jester is so damn cute. I can't wait for the animated series.

The art, as with all Critical Role content, is gorgeous. Unfortunately, the story itself didn't do much for me - I would have preferred to see her younger years - my understanding of Jester's backstory was that The Traveler appeared to her originally when she was much younger, so this story threw me off a bit.

This one didn't do it for me. Partly because we knew everything in here - there were no surprises. Partly because Jester's voice doesn't feel authentic in her inner monologue. I'm also disappointed by the art in places - Jester is stick thin, the Traveler feels really downplayed, it lacks a lot of the whimsy I'd expect from a Jester-narrated story.
