This world is so depressing. Where is the hope? The ray of light that points to a some what better life for the humans? Like I said, it's depressing.

I can't wait to see how this will end. Will Raffe finally get his wings back?
SpoilerI know that at the end of this book, he finally cut them off of Beliel, so does that mean all he has to do is sew them back on or whatever? God I hope so. Just give him his wings already!

What will become of Paige?
SpoilerI'm surprised Penryn didn't break down when she learned what really happen to Paige. Even I felt completely helpless, like I wish I could swoop in and save Paige from what she had to go through. It wasn't Penryn's fault that she couldn't get to her sister fast enough. But sheesh, cutting and removing parts from children, than putting them back together? SMH. It's so wrong. Now Paige is like some robot little girl, in pain, but still in there-at least a small part of her. It sucks. But now it seems that the scorpions have some kind of connection to her. This could be good for her and Penryn because these scorpions had no problem attacking the angels. Score. There's that little bit of hope! Maybe they can use this to their advantage? Maybe the humans finally have a way to take the angels? I can't wait to find out.

Raffe and Penryn.

Sigh...

This is not the first book where an immortal meets a human and there is some kind of spark.
SpoilerAnd this is not the first time I wish that something more can come of them. There's hints here and there that Raffe feels for Penryn. To bad the sword didn't show their kiss; I really want to know what Raffe was thinking than. I am very curious to see how the author will write their ending. Will they part? Will Raffe leave to his home and Penryn stays on earth? Is there a way that they can stay in each others lives even if they're just friends? I really want to know what will happen to the two. But I want to know even more what Raffe really feels for Penryn. I know it something.

World After was a smooth reading. Scene after scene, it leads us to the very end, leaving me wanting more. No doubt will I be reading the next book. And please let there be only one book left. Yeah I like the books, but if there were five... GAH! I just want to know how it all ends.

3.5 stars!

The series in general is kind of like The Walking Dead but with Angels instead of zombies and a bit more sci-fi, weird, shit thrown in. Book 2 goes a little more over the top with that bit than the first one did. I lost my suspension of disbelief for a few moments on multiple occasions with this one. I still liked it and I've gotten pretty attached to the characters. When Raffe and Penryn reunited I was happier about it than I would have thought.
I will dutifully read the 3rd book when it comes out (and probably even be slightly excited about it).
