The book was well written. It is an interesting and yet frustrating story.  He had the ability to gain access to all sorts of resources. The sickness of addictions is what is so frustrating.

This is a harrowing, heartbreaking story, especially knowing how he died. All that pain and all that struggle for naught.

I listened to the audio version as I needed to hear his story told from his voice. This isn’t a humorous book. This is the sad truth about addiction and how it can physically and mentally destroy a person.
If you aren’t a Matthew Perry fan, I could see your opinion being very different from mine. I don’t want to say I “loved” this book because who could love hearing a person go through such misery… but I was glad to hear his truth.
