This book is both depressing af in that he really brings you into the horror of the disease of addiction (and you also know soon after its release he died) and also awkward bc Matthew Perry really comes across like a dick with the way he treats people especially women. On the other hand, I appreciate his brutal honesty. It felt pretty repetitive at times. An interesting read though.

I listened to this audiobook, and maybe I’m biased as an extreme Friends lover, but I really really really enjoyed the story. While it is so sad and so dark at times, the way that he wrote his feelings and expressed himself had me captured. I wanted to learn what happened next behind the scenes of all those years on friends, and not just the glamor and fame that comes with being an actor. Sad story, but great book that I’d recommend to other Friends lovers out there.
