The story was inventive and fun. The characters were quite sketchily drawn so it was difficult to form any emotional attachment to them. This is probably because of the novella format. It was like reading an episode of Dr Who.
What if IKEA was scary? The weird part about it is IKEA is not quite the maze anymore then it once was. But man, I feel how this works in the style of IKEA where you just couldn’t get where you were going. And maybe something to eat you.

Short, funny, and out of this world. I loved this story answering “what would happen if a wormhole opened in IKEA”, and I totally believe it could be true.
This was really fun overall. It moved fast but was still well-paced, an adventure-in-a-day. I wouldn’t describe this “an anti-capitalist adventure,” but the plot was super interesting. It made me want to read more stories about multiverses, time travel, etc. etc.
I don’t really like when a story’s supposedly set in the real world, but the characters barely react to the sci-fi shit going on.
I really liked the author’s writing though -- I think I’ll enjoy their other books!

This failed to deliver on any of the subjects the summary described. It should have been fleshed out and developed into a novel to truly explore queen relationships, capitalism, etc. I might pick up the second novella, but if I don't I won't feel I'm missing out on anything.
