3.5 stars. I was really enjoying it, but can’t give it 4 stars because the large gesture to win back the girl at the end of the book was so cringey. I skimmed over most of it. If some guy did that for me I’d be incredibly embarrassed and it wouldn’t do him any favors. Plus, after he read all of the girl’s MC romances, you’d think he’d have better inspiration for a grand gesture.
Spoiler
Despite all that, I did appreciate that Clay was bad at hiding his emotions when he broke up with Giana and that she knew something was up. Despite the book being called Blind Side, she wasn’t really blind sided.
Kind of unfinished?
What happened to mom? his ex? her dad? his dad?

Spoilers:
- Clay and his ex-girlfriend's relationship was so incredibly serious that’s crazy
- Like, they make sense in every sense, there’s a reason this guy is wrecked
- Kitten is the worst nickname I’ve ever heard in my life
- Him being so upset about his ex and then them going into an immediate fake dating relationship just doesn’t feel unrealistic
- Also, the safe word being a ‘meow’ is so gross, and I hate it
- I love that she loves romance books, and I love that he was reading them in her apartment and looked at what she tabbed
- I hate when a girl begs the guy for sex, I mean, I get it in part, but have some confidence in yourself
- I genuinely can’t take this man seriously every time he calls her kitten
- I hate that her dad calls her little mouse, too. We need to steer clear of the animal names. I'm over them
- Clay's ex-girlfriend's dad blackmailing Clay into getting back together with his daughter by sending his mother money and offering to help her is insane
- I do appreciate that Giana did realize that there was something wrong, and he wasn't breaking up with her because he wanted to, but because he felt like it was what he had to do
- I thought it was crazy that the guitar player that Giana had a crush on was so nice about her admitting that she was basically manipulating him into liking her
- I don't like a public love admission usually, and tbh this was no exception, don't profess your love at a press conference
- Also, for a college romance, there was literally nothing about college. Her job was way too much for a college student, and when do they even go to class? Other than mentioning the college bar every now and again, there was nothing college about it
I read it as a standalone and really enjoyed it! Clay reading her books for her
