Ehhh I didn’t vibe with the whole best friend’s mom thing. Then the main character was just annoying the crap out of me and I couldn’t take it anymore. AND ALSO rom coms are supposed to be funny, but the humor almost always fell flat. If I had to describe what the dialog sounded like, it would be ugly. It just sounded ugly and unfunny and annoying. Anyways um it’s not that good, the story is ok, it’s entertaining enough but I just couldn’t get behind the humor. Not for me. The only reason to read this book is for the smu- woah!! Guys who said that?? I think there’s a ghost…

this book would have been 10x better of it was any other scenario. it wasn't bad, the romance was cute and characters good but i fear the premise immediately stopped this from being any higher than 3 stars for me. parker is so much better than me bc if i had a strained relationship with my mum and then found out she was dating my best friend i would've killed them and then myself. literally have erin and cassie meet any other way nd it would be so much better

Not terrible for a sapphic romance. Plenty steamy, likable characters. Listened to the audio book and can wholly say that the voice Parker had was so whiney and childlike it was distracting. I understand she was a freshman in college, but she acted like she was in middle school. Solid 3 stars.
