Man oh man I loved this book! Dylan is my favorite kind of hero...alpha, troubled past, hard exterior but heart of gold and thinks HEA’s are for others. Scarlet is strong and opinionated but also comes across as innocent at times and is the perfect girl for Dylan. I literally couldn’t put this book down. I couldn’t imagine how Emery Rose was going to weave her magic in Dylan’s life but she absolutely did! This story will have you rooting for the kid from the wrong side of the tracks with a checkered past and the girl who saw his true worth and believed in him. Don’t miss this 5 star read!

The female heroine was always complaining about the amount of obstacles in her way and things she couldn’t control. The love interest was always shutting down every time she would try to get closer and would disguise his hurt and anger at other situations by being an asshole to her. I kept picking up and dropping this book and you get to a point when you realise if you have to force yourself to continue a book, it’s not worth reading. Nothing against Emery but her writing style isn’t for me and I don’t think I will be trying to finish this book anytime soon.
