I liked the writing but the plot felt thin to me. I wanted a more intricate mystery. It’s fine.

I struggled with the first 50 pages. So much gaslighting! One the police showed up I enjoyed the story more.

At first I was so wrapped up in the police story, and then at around 3/4 of the way through all I could focus on was the family history.

It would be interesting to have a second book to wrap everything up.

A solid murder mystery complete with double entendres and neurospicy shenanigans. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my read, but I don’t see myself rereading it.

Book 79: The Framed Women of Ardemore House by Brandy Shillace // read July 23-27 // ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
.
This was a great cozy mystery! Featuring a FMC with some neurodivergencies, a DCI tight laced investigator, a mysterious old house with secrets in its past and present—and don’t forget a murder! What could go wrong?! It’s truly a recipe for a great mystery and I had a great time along for the ride! I hope to hear from these characters again soon!
