Despite the claim on the cover, this is not a novel; I read it in about an hour. It’s barely more than a short story. But since it labels itself as a novel, I’ll rate it like one.

Most of this novella is just a series of short, bland vignettes that end in gory kills. There’s not a lot of character or plot to be found, and what is there is lacking, to say the least. Nothing interesting going on other than some beautiful illustrations by Bernie Wrightson—really the only reason to read this.

I love this modest collection of pastiches made all the more captivating by Berni Wrightson’s awesome pen-and-ink artwork.

An incredibly quick, fun read. It took me all told about an hour to fly through this book. It reminded me of a demented children's storybook, with graphic drawings depicting the impending deaths of those characters unlucky enough to find themselves in the werewolf's path. Every month, at the full moon, someone in the isolated town of Tarker's Mill meets their demise.

There is not much in the way of any sort of literary value, it's pure entertainment. And if you don't like sleep at night, try reading it a bedtime story to your child one night. Be sure to show them the pictures along the way.

Edición ilustrada de Planeta Bolsillo. Tuvo al menos cuatro ediciones, pero probablemente más también.

A good starting point for those who wish to check out King. A classic "Monster in a small town story "that will surely if not please , will not waste your time.

This is a pretty decent little King novella, certainly better than The Sun Dog which I read last week. I think the highlight for me was the illustrations which are great, but the ebook formatting was messed up and some of the illustrations appeared sooner than they were supposed to, spoiling certain events for me.

I did feel like it didn't actually read like King, he has a pretty distinctive writing style and I didn't really see that here. I haven't read a huge amount of his shorter fiction though so maybe that's just what his short fiction is like.

But overall it is pretty enjoyable and it was neat to read a werewolf story by King, I liked that it was a cyclical story too (one of my favorite elements of IT). It's super short too, you can easily read it in one sitting. I just wouldn't recommend reading it on Kindle because the illustrations look better with color (I read it on my phone instead).
