The story is broken up into 12 extremely short chapters, taking place over the course of a year. Most of the chapters focus on different characters, with some characters taking the spotlight more than once.

The main crux of the story is how a small town deals with deaths of people and animals every month around the full moon. King does what he does best, having a wide cast of characters and giving you just enough to get invested in them without wearing out their welcome. The story is fast and tight and can be finished in a very short time.

The illustrations are superb. I would have ranked it higher had it been a full novel with more meat to the story or a full-on graphic novel. Marty is such a cool character, would have loved to learn more about him.

I loved this. Twelve short vignettes highlighting people from Tarker's Mills and their run in with a werewolf stalking the town. Each chapter takes place in each month of the year. A very short and sweet werewolf tale.

Short but fun. Loved the month to month story-tellimg yet felt intertwined enough to keep my hooked. I wanted a fun, quick read and definitely got that.

This book has sat on my shelf for over 10 years, and I am happy I finally sat down to read it. The Cycle of The Wolf is a perfect read if you want something quick and easy but also want something spooky. I also appreciate that the one who stops the werewolf is a ten-year-old boy who is a wheelchair user.
