I love this series it just makes me smile and laugh every time I read one of the books. I was happy to see more of Bella in this one as I think she makes a great side character.

Another Stephanie Plum novel that's just pure fun and fluff. I appreciate this one much more than others because it didn't get too silly, which can be really annoying and weird. There are always quirky, wacky characters but this didn't get too wild.
Not much substance to these but they're just fun and easy reads. A nice way to have a palate cleanser, enjoy some time with very familiar characters, and maybe have a few laughs.

About five books ago I was pretty much done with reading the Stephanie Plum "mysteries" but needed something mindless to listen to while walking so checked this out from the library as I always enjoy Lorelei King's narration of this series. While I immediately became exasperated with Stephanie's usual ineptness, this turned out to be an intriguing and fast-paced mystery with a few chuckles along the way. Yes, Stephanie destroys not one but two vehicles, and yes, Lula is annoying but Grandma was hilarious and Morelli and Ranger were as appealing as hell. And, it usually happens, Ranger comes to Stephanie's rescue but at least she showed some grit and held her own a few times. I'm looking forward to her next book in the series, Dirty Thirty, due November 2023.

The ending conclusion was funny and had me laughing out loud. The ending itself left me wanting more. Morelli just isn't cutting it anymore for me. I like Ranger and Diesel (not in this one) more. They have more personality and seem to care more about Stephanie's near death situations. Morelli wants her to be safe but also doesn't want to know what's going on.
Grandma Bella was more a secondary character than usual, which was kind of nice but also a little annoying. She reminds me of the grandma from My Big Fat Greek Wedding, at least, that's how I kept picturing her. Definitely would make me rethink being in that family.

Stephanie and company are up to their usual hijinks in this new entry to the series. Stephanie and Lula arrive at work to find Connie missing. But she's never missing. They try to go about their day, but they soon discover that Connie's been kidnapped and the culprits need a coin that Vinnie took as part of a bond security. Add in an FTA for Grandma Bella and the steaming hot Ranger and we've got another great entry in the series.
It's no secret that I haven't lived the last several of these. The author makes no apologies for following a formula for each and every one of these and they've gotten boring. I only read these because I can get the ARC for free. If the ARC wasn't available, I would only read it if someone brings it into the store and I can borrow it. But. This one was better than the last several. I'm not sure why, but I did like it a bit more. It's still got all the formula elements, but I liked it a smidge more than the last several. Do with that what you will.
