This book is great, but wayyy too long. I nearly gave up at 40% because the plot wasn't progressing. Hours and hours of character introductions and world building got exhausting and repetitive, and there were too many characters. The plot itself was captivating!

Fredrik Backman pulls on my heart strings in a way almost no author ever has. Beartown is about people in a hockey town, dealing with the ups & downs of life. Backman’s writing so easily puts you in the character’s heads & in their shoes - highly recommend this & every other book he’s written.

Star rating really should be 4.9999999998 due to the ending.... :/
Beginning did start a little slow, but once you got into the story, it was so engrossing.
