Intresting read, not typically what I would go for. I didn't hate it, the grief did tug at my heartstrings and i understood the metsphors, but at the same time the writing style didn't really do anything for me. The poetic thing just felt like bizarre outbursts to me.
This book def has a target audience it just isn't me.

I’ll have to admit I did not really “get it” with the crow part (I have not read Ted Hughes), but it has some really beautiful passages and overall a nice poetic language.
Heartbreaking, I read the final sentences to a friend and it was enough to make her cry too. But , I saw the Dutch theatre adaptation and was so moved by it and impressed by the production, I actually believe it works better as a play.

Just fine. I get there are parts that are very poetic etc etc, it just didn’t do anything for me. Not bad, just fine.
