Damn. What should’ve been a warning became a mirror. The phoenix allegory will stick with me for sure.

Choosing to ignore that there were no women in the group of book rememberers we met. Could handle a small group of women being silly and unwilling to grow but didn’t love that every single member of the group of outcasts was a mister on top of that. The message is more important to me than this but yeah. Had to say it.

This was a pretty interesting and good read. I never read books like these, but it was worth the time. The perspective shared was important and I think it's good this book is being taught at some schools. Banning it is simply political.
