I have no idea why people like these books. Elena is so unlikable as character it is ridiculous. She is selfish and self centere, and just because she admits is in the book does not make it any better. In fact all the characters are. There is no one to connect with. I felt the over all story was lacking any depth. There was an utter lack of climax to the book as well. Don't read it.

Ehhh. Not too bad, but I didn't like how Elena just couldn't be away from Stefan :/.

actually did not expect to like this trashy, twilight inspired romance.

I thought it was an amazing book. Both books in one was really good and I was sinked into it. I never wanted it to end

Are u finished with this book?
"Physically yes.... Emotionally NEVER"

This story is different from the TV series, the difference begins with the looks of Elena and ends with Katherine's story and everything in between. As a fan of the TV series, I didn't expected that but I got used to it fast because just because it's doesn't mean it's less good. Actually, it's great! Elena is slightly more the popular bitch then she was in the TV show but that's okay, she is still likable. The story is interesting and now too familiar since it's different from the TV show and that keeps it interesting. Great book.

Okay while I am intrigued by the story, I perhaps made the mistake of thinking of this book in comparison with the TV show (which, incidentally, I prefer).

I have an issue with the pontificating style in which the characters speak throughout, and I find them to be, for the most part, rather whiny. While I was torn between 2 and 3 stars, I decided to at least give this book credit for making me want to keep reading the series.

Pretty fun to read and interesting to see the differences between book and show
