I finished it. But I’m not sure if I liked it. I’m mostly confused about how it ended up on my TBR. It’s one of those things where nobody but me could’ve done it. But I have no memory of doing it. So I’m bewildered I guess.
So do I just hate popular things?? I feel like I keep seeing this series hyped up online everywhere but ehh not a fan. Keeping in mind I have read other books from this author and enjoyed them.
So much random exposition and resolution of things explained off book. Terrible handling of previous SA fallout. No apology for leaving her to die in a room in his house even though multiple people told him she was really sick. Never allowing her to leave the house basically ever. Weird human trafficking's storyline that is never really resolved. The characters just kept saying and doing things that felt the exact opposite of their descriptions. I wanted to like this more....on paper its my jam however in practice it was my green bean casserole...I would eat some if it was the only thing available but I would bitch the whole time.
