3.75 - Decent dark mafia book. Really enjoy Dante and Kat, although everything was very surface level but I mean can’t really expect too much from most mafia books anyways still have a great time with this one. Would’ve like more plot which only picked up around 80% and have seen more of the business side (like Dante said multiple times he was very busy but busy doing what is still a mystery) it was mostly in the background compare to the romance aspect.

This book made me laugh, cry and get angry. Readingn this book I felt so many emotions. I have never in my lifetime read a book that is as good as this one. The smut was well executed, the plot twists just kept coming, I loved and hated the characters... especially Dante it was a hot and cold with him.
I wish I could unlearn everything I just read just so I could read it again and feel the depth of emotions I felt before. Absolutely a best seller and one of my favorite books. Easily a 10/10, this is the first 'booktok' book I approve of. Cannot wait to read the rest of the series!

This was chaotic and all over the place. I felt like I was watching a reality tv show where you cant stop watching because you need to know what stupid thing they are gonna do next but the show isn't necessarily good?
Also, events kept unfolding with no apparent connection between them. Idk how to explain it but it felt like the book wasn't smooth: the events didn't connect well together and random things just kept popping up.
Was I entertained? Yes. Was this good? No.
