Rating: 2/5 Stars - Surprisingly well written, but I don't think this style of Omegaverse is for me, and the plot and characters fell a bit short!.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This is a hard review to write because I don't want to dock the author points for something that's decently written and definitely going to appeal to some people, but I also want to rate this book for myself and my records.
For those reading this review, let me just make it clear one more time THE BIGGEST THING THAT TURNED ME AWAY FROM THIS BOOK IS THAT I JUST DIDN'T CLICK WITH THE MAIN KINKS IN IT!
Outside of that, the book surprised me. One of my first comments going in was "wow this is well written!" It did have a bit of a Wattpad feel to it mostly due to the Omegaverse content, but it still seemed very developed and less like a 14 year old horny girl wrote it.
It was a surprisingly long book (400+ pages!) but I don't feel like that did it justice plot wise. While I do appreciate the author providing a glossary for Omegaverse terms and providing lots of information on the world it takes place in, I feel like there wasn't enough plot to compel me into the story. There wasn't enough character development to save it either. Obviously some books don't need plot or character development, but with me not being into the kink aspect of this book, I didn't really have anything else to hang on to.
The characters, especially Tom, seemed stereotypical and very one-sided. It felt bland and like they were each taken from the Wattpad archetype. I hope in the rest of the series Osborne really grows with the characters and develops them a bit more. I think being more connected to the characters would have helped my rating climb a bit more.
This book wasn't terrible, but it just wasn't for me!

This is smut, from beginning to end. If that is what you are looking for then this book is for you. Though it does have some plot it goes off of the characters becoming a pack and their sexual relationships. Honestly I had not read an omega verse book that had free use in the beginning. It was interesting and pretty original to me. Which is why I reread it but eventually I got a little bored of it and it didn’t have the same spark as when I read it the first time. It’s memorable because of the first scene but that’s about it.

This was just 400+ pages of kinky sex, and I was here for it.
