Has been a totally surprise after try some very hype books and feel absolutely bored about them, I’ve swallowed this one in 48 hours and because I’ve been very busy.

This was meh for me. It seemed disjointed for me at times. I couldn’t wait to be done. I was conflicted about continuing the series since the first book ends abruptly, but I’ll have to wait on that.

Saight
For the most part I enjoyed the book. Towards the end some holes in the plot started popping up. The fmc started acting stupid. Women don't beed to be stupid to fall in love!
I mean... In this world... Well actually in that world too! If a dude wants to kill and hold you captive it is in fact stupid to fall in love with him. But a bitch can keep it together while its happening.
Lol i hate this place.

While an adequately written book, it was incredibly boring and long. The prose is uninspired, and while this is genuinely enemies to lovers, the chemistry was lackluster. The worldbuilding wasn't anything special, avatar rules, and damn there was a lot of infodumping. There were hordes of unnecessary information being dumped onto me which ultimately contributed little to my understanding of the plot nor did it serve to make the world feel more lush.

While I normally despise pop culture references in my stories, especially in a fantasy world where it would feel jarringly out of place, I wish the author did more with the initial premise of traversing to a different world.

Finally, I felt extremely disconnected to the main protagonist; she fell extremely flat for me.

This book dragged on forever. The main character was both naive and stubborn at the same time. I can get that being thrust into a new world is confusing but like goddamn girl half of the book does not need to be you in denial. I liked the plot point of her being a theif and I wish that would have been expanded upon more. Will not be reading the rest of the series.
