This book is entirely a setup for the series. You meet the people and the world, and (oh boy) do you learn all about the politics. There is no real resolution of a plot come the end of this. Yes, certain things come to light, but Sofie's plans don't find resolution... Romy's dilemma only deepens... The safety of the King only grows more concerning... That's it. Cut scene. haha

BUT - I loved the journey of meeting everybody and seeing friendships/relationships develop. It has some spice too! I'm curious to see how things will go from here. Just be prepared for the fact there's no resolution in any plot come the end of it.
