I really enjoyed myself during this book. I was absolutely enthralled by the world and enjoyed the premise of a contemporary heroine transported to a new dimension. However, I wasn’t left screaming because the pacing was off. It would have been better if Romaria started doing more things on her own rather than just watching from her balcony. Also, the stakes just weren’t there for Romy. She had nothing to fight for most of the time which is also what led to the pacing issue. Will be continuing the series because I think it will only get better as she develops goals to fight for.
Why do I keep trying to read these stupid YA fantasy "A Blugh of Blah and Bleh" books? I've hated nearly every one. No more, Jessica. Quit torturing yourself.
