The female main character's poor decision making is annoying. She doesn't learn from her mistakes.

Definitely had me hooked.

Clare and Dorran continue to fight the hallows. The set off to find Clare’s sister Beth. Leaving Winterbourne is a risk and Clare needs to know if her sister survived the Stillness.
The last time she heard from her sister she sounded deaperate and in need of help.

The trip leads them to discover the truth about what happened but did they find Clares sister ?

Wow, just wow.

The first book was brilliant, the second just BLEW my mind.

The book continues seamlessly from the previous, and we’re straight back in Winterbourne. The world Darcy created is insanely realistic, and the hollows will live forever in my nightmares.

Clare and Dorran face so many more horrors in this, and let me tell you, it’s not for the faint hearted!

Bloody fantastic. I’ve downloaded the next to read asap, off I go!

Read this series!

I love that this book picked up right where the last one left off, sometimes books in order don't do that and it drives me insane, so I'm glad this wasn't that way!

Love seeing how protective Dorran is over Clare, but felt a little too on edge if that makes sense? Like there was never a moment when they didn't seem to be fighting for their life. While I understand it's the end of times (basically) I didn't feel like I got a breather at all.

The end was pleasantly surprising, and I'm excited to start book 3!

DID NOT FINISH: 0%

I like this series, but I don't 484-pages like it. And the next two books are of similar length, so I'm just gonna call it here. I hate to DNF a Darcy Coates, but at least she has like 300 other books to try! (Also post-apocalyptic stuff is hardly ever my thing, so I'm happy I at least got through book one.)
