“Hey, Kady?” Colton called.
She turned and smiled, her face absolutely radiant.
“Just be ready for me, sweetheart. Because this isn’t the last time you’re going to say yes to one of my questions.” He winked.
“We’ll just see about that, Brooks,” she called as she blew a kiss and ran down the hall.

Cute. Now I can't wait for the rest of the books in the series.

Reread: December 2019

Still cute.

As my first book by this author, I have to say I'm impressed. It was a steamy romance between two grown adults. I loved how smart both of these characters were, and thought Colton's interests were done well. Loved the camaraderie between these two as they'd known one another all their lives, Colton being Kady's older brother's best friend. Definitely looking forward to reading more of this author's work!

.5 in the Wedding Dare continuity

Their story begins it all. Colton and Kady have known each other since they were children. Now, they are competing for a computer security contract. After a monsoon leaves them stranded together in the only motel in town, they discover things about each other they never would have guessed and their passion explodes.

If you're looking for a short, sexy read this book is for you!

Part 5 of my mental breakdown.

I wish I was as cool as Kady but alas, I only got a B in my ethical hacking course.

"Received and ARC for an honest review"

Colton, Colton, Colton... what am I going to do with you. I want to slap you and kiss you senseless at the same time.

What a ride, this short novel got me on the edge the whole time. Laura Kaye writes in a way you just have to keep on reading till the very end.

I loved Kady's character, she is a strong determined woman who just loves computers. Now get into the picture a former military Colton Brooks, who is now the CEO of his own security systems company, and also Kady's brother best friend, get them together in one motel room for a night and what you get is just sparks, sexual tension building until it explodes.

So yes, if you are looking into a short steamy novel, just go click on buy it now and start reading.

This was a very short story that starts off the Wedding Dare series. The characters are well written and easy to connect to. While we don't get much about the setting, we do get a well conceived plot and most of a resolution to the story. This could be considered an erotic novella, but that part of the story is not the main focus, I am happy to say! I'm eager to see where the rest of the series goes!
